This workshop dives into understanding the difference between a beginner first-time client who is just getting started versus a stronger beginner who knows the order. You will also explore some modifications & variations to help clients progress along the way into the intermediate mat system. This workshop will be helpful for those teaching mat as well as apparatus sessions.
Instructor: Jordana Herman
Jordana's experience in Pilates ranges nearly two decades. After studying for many years with some of the top professionals in the field, Jordana completed the Power Pilates 600 hour apprenticeship program. In the proceeding years, she attended continuing education workshops while actively teaching. She's spent hundreds of hours analyzing the archival materials or Joe, Romana, Eve Gentry and Carola Trier making certain she continued to honor the Method as originally taught. Since those early days, Jordana has earned the title of Senior Teacher. As a Teacher Trainer, Jordana works year round mentoring apprentices for Power Pilates to become teachers and teacher trainers. She has written and taught workshops on subjects including Osteoporosis, Advanced Archival Exercises, Barrels, Chairs and the Magic
Circle. Due to her many years of dedication and experience, in 2017 Power Pilates invited her to become a Senior level Teacher Trainer. Jordana's CV includes teaching clients and apprentices at the Power Pilates flagship studio in NYC, filming educational material for Leaders in Fitness, running conferences for Leaders in Classical Pilates and choreographing the commercials for Power Pilates, #powerispossible campaign. She has worked with some of the top professionals in the industry such as Karine Cid, Mari Winsor, Peter Fiasca and Mary Bowen. She holds dual certifications from The Pilates Method Alliance and Power Pilates.
